  • Payday Island (ペイデイ島 Peidei-tō?) is an island on the Grand Line, more specifically in its first half, Paradise (楽園 （パラダイス） Paradaisu?). However, it is very near its end, and therefore, the dangers that surround it are bigger than those in the rest of Paradise. The name of the island was given by the first explorers that ever reached it. The definition and true meaning of "pay day" is taken to a darker side. In the island, there is a giant monster, named Jolie (ジョリー Jorī?, French for "Beautiful"), a gigantic rat that towers over any regular human and most of the trees in the island. Her nickname is The Land Lady that wears an Apron (エプロンを着た女将 Epuron o kita okami?). Her goal is to keep away any intruders from the island, by playing tricks and setting up traps and surprise attacks, like bathing their camps in acid, as a "charge" for their stay. However, Jolie seems to be scared to be seen by the Shooting Star Pirates, due to their ridiculous powers and abilities to avoid them.
