Apache Team, more formally styled as APACHE Team and often referred to as simply Apache, was a team of SPARTAN-III commandos that was active during the Human-Covenant War and the conflicts that followed. Formed under the same initiative that gave birth to such other specialized SPARTAN-III units as NOBLE Team, APACHE consisted of a small number of Spartan operators handpicked by Kurt Ambrose and Franklin Mendez. Officially operating under the Office of Naval Intelligence's operational control, Apache Team operated with next to no direction or guidance from the higher chain of command.
