The entirety of the culture of the average Henripoli citizen in the present day is based upon the traumatic events of the first several hundred years of its existence. These events are found in previous works so we will not delve into them here. Suffice it to say, there are several dominating traits in the Henripoli. Firstly, there is an inherent distrust of foreigners and other such outsiders. Henripoli will gather in close knit groups of people that share their beliefs. If a Henripoli disagrees with you, he may not state it outright, but he will maintain his distance from yourself.

Firstly, there is an inherent distrust of foreigners and other such outsiders. Henripoli will gather in close knit groups of people that share their beliefs. If a Henripoli disagrees with you, he may not state it outright, but he will maintain his distance from yourself. They typically shun personal conversations. Ask a Henripoli “how are you” and you will get a blank stare in response as he wonders why exactly you have asked him such a forward question and how it is relevant to anything at all. They don’t really think about how a person directly “feels” but how such feelings affect a person’s productivity. The closest a foreigner can get to an ethnic Henripoli is usually based upon a professional relationship. Of course, there are exceptions as with any other advanced culture. They do not to shower themselves or others with praise. In their minds, knowing within your mind that a job was well done is praise enough. Do NOT under any circumstances mention the words “honor” or “chivalry” in reference to them, yourself, or others. Once again, prior history, in Henripoli eyes, shows that persons that use such terms are usually habitual liars that are attempting to gather political capita for their own benefit.
