It was bordered in the north by the Kokoro province (Ak2), in the west by the Renga (Ak4) and Shimizu provinces (Ak5), in the south by the Yojin province (Ma4), being enveloped in the east by the Imperial lands which surrounded Otosan Uchi. The most notable location within the province was Shiro Akodo, the ancestral castle of the Akodo.
