PNS Hachiman was a Mars-B-class heavy cruiser of the People's Navy. The vessel was part of the Shilo Force, the task group jointly commanded by Major General Thornegrave and Commodore Yang. Shortly after the force's arrival in the Cerberus System, Hachiman was heavily damaged by the explosion of PNS Attila. Two-thirds of her crew died almost instantly from radiation exposure, and half of the survivors took lethal radiation doses as well. (HH8)
