| - For example, a practitioner of this style who does not possess the Lightning Release cannot hope to nullify a ninjutsu that is composed of that element, due to the lack of knowledge of how the element functions. However, a Nomura with access to the Lightning Release would easily be able to catch a ninjutsu of the element within his or her "effect field" and then proceed to slow down the vibrations of chakra within the technique in order to reduce the ninjutsu to naught, save raw chakra. It is noted that this discipline heavily relies upon the concepts and functions of its counterparts in order to accomplish its desired effects. Furthermore, the amount of chakra consumed by techniques of this disciple is directly proportional to the size of the technique to be nullified, the area of one's "effect field", and the desired speed of the target's nullification. This means that, in order to nullify a large target in "the blink of an eye", otherwise identified as roughly three-tenths of a second, a considerable amount of chakra will have to be dedicated. However, this strain can be minimized through a number of means. The first of which is through the absorption of remnant, dispersed chakra that is left behind within an "effect field" following a ninjutsu's nullification. Second of which is collaboration on the part of the Nomura Clan; as a larger number of practitioners combining their "effect fields" into a single entity will equally disperse the large chakra strain into manageable portions. Lastly, the practitioner can seek other avenues of bolstering their chakra reserves, such as Sage Mode.
