Foley's best year came in 1959, when he finished 55th in points. Again he competed exclusively in Daytona, but this time racing at the new Daytona. He struggled mightily in his Qualifier race, finishing 37th following a blown engine. But Foley still made his way into the first Daytona 500, finishing well off the pace in 32nd. He ended the year with a 31st in the July Daytona event. Foley's final two races were yet again at Daytona, though this time they occured in the 1960 season. Foley easily made the Daytona 500 this season, completing all but one lap in route to a career-best 12th place run in the Qualifer. Yet he did struggle in the Daytona 500 itself, finishing deep in 61st.
