- Four did not believe One was an effective leader and didn't agree with his decision to colonise Refusis II. He believed the Refusians too dangerous. One, however, ignored Four's fears. However, One had no intention of letting Four leave. He had him ambushed on his way back to landing pods. In the resulting firefight, many Monoids died, but Four survived and was eventually taken prisoner by the human Guardians. The Refusians agreed to let the humans colonise the planet, as long as they were willing to let the Monoids remain and peacefully coexist with them. - The number four (4) symbolizes the material world: North, South, East and West, the 'four corners of the earth;' Earth, Air, Water and Fire, the constituents of the universe; and the four humors, the constituents of Man. Venus is the fourth classical planet, therefore it is fitting that her sign, the five-pointed star, shows 'the one' projecting upward beyond the material. (Five is symbolic of the Sacred Feminine and is associated with Venus for very good reason.) There are four stages in the alchemical process, though some fervently disagree. (See: C.G.
