B.O.B. (Bicarbonate Ostylezene Benzonate) is a fictional character in the Monsters vs Aliens film. He is a blue one-eyed indestructible gelatinous mass that was spontaneously created in a laboratory when scientists injected a chemically-altered ranch dressing into a genetically-altered tomato. He has the ability to absorb anything, can form into any shape, doesn't have a brain and digest them within seconds (depending on size). He can also extend his body and detach his eyeball. His only weakness is that his mutation didn't give him a brain, making him incredibly dimwitted. He was captured in 1958 and was sent to Area 51.

He is a parody of the titular character in the film, The Blob with his origin as a tomato parodying "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes". He was inspired by The Blob from the 1958 film. The blob was a faceless, pudding-like creature that came to Earth on a meteor and ate everything in its path.
