Tempest (Japanese: 嵐 Arashi) is a recurring character in Truth and Ideals, and is a character type dubbed an "Ambassador". Not much is known about his overall role in Truth and Ideals in particular, aside from the fact he was prompted into action upon the numerous mishaps involving his co-worker Flare. Ambassador characters such as Tempest, under normal circumstances, are heavily downgraded in power to prevent the full potential of their destructive attacks from functioning the way they would in their native universe; as a result, even as a MetalGarurumon, Tempest's attacks are not all that powerful when compared to the average strong category Pokémon, such as the Pseudo-Legendary Salamence.

DESC
  • Tempest's Mega Level form. This form is considered to be no higher than a BST of 600 in power. As Tempest's default form for combat and travel, this form is often Tempest's go to form for any situation that would involve him getting into a fight; however, he admits certain opponents leave him too busy feeling terrified to know when to step in. It is considered a Steel/Ice Type with the ability Tinted Lens.
  • Tempest's Rookie Level form. Big enough to be mistaken for an unevolved or middle stage Pokémon, this form is used under an additional disguise meant to fool people into thinking it is a Mimikyu, which Tempest himself feels embarrassed about considering the already embarrassing secret of what Gabumon looks like without the pelt it wears. It is considered a Normal/Ice Type with the ability Pure Power.
  • Tempest's Champion Level form. This form is considered to be on par with Pokémon between a BST of the early 400s. It is a strong combat form indeed, but lacks the power of its evolved forms and is considered a glass cannon. It is considered a Normal/Ice Type with the ability Beast Boost.
  • Tempest's Fresh Level form. Considering the weakness of this form even when compared to his In-Training form, Punimon is never Degenerated down into at all during Truth and Ideals unless in absolute emergency. It is considered a Normal Type with the ability Shed Skin.
  • Tempest's Ultimate Level Form. This form is considered to be on par with Pokémon between a BST of the later end 400s. It is ideal in size to serve as a humanoid disguise with a proper cloak, but Tempest himself is too stubborn to bother trying to use this form as such, considering the large head and claws this form has. It is considered a Fighting/Ice Type with the ability Moxie.
  • Tempest's In-Training Level form. Considering low in power, but very easy to hide as, this form is only used when Tempest needs to get into places too small for his higher forms. It is considered a Normal Type with the ability Shed Skin.
  • Tempest's shared final form with Flare; the Ultra Level Omegamon. Roughly on par with Mega Evolved Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon, this form may not be as durable, but in terms of sheer offensive power alone, it is completely unmatched. This form is the result of a fusion between Tempest and Flare. It is considered a Steel/Fighting Type with the unique ability "Royal Knight", which allows it to deal an extra 100 Base Power damage against a target which either resists or is immune to one of the user's attacks used on the same turn this ability activates. It deals either Physical or Special Damage based off of what the previously used move was.
