| - At Melee level 1, the default damage dealt per attack is 60% of the weapon-labeled damage. Every additional level-up in Melee increases attack damage by 1%, compounded. So if you have a weapon that does "2-4 damage", at level 1 you would do 1.2-2.4 damage. At level 50 (the average level) you do 98% of weapon-label damage. At level 99 you would do 159% of weapon-label damage, so that same weapon now does 3.2-5.4 damage. At Melee level 1, the default time per attack is 4.00 seconds. Every additional level-up in Melee reduces time per attack by 1%, compounded. So if initially you would do 1 hit per 4.00 seconds, on level 99 you would do 1 hit per 1.49 seconds, everything else being constant. Every additional level-up decreases the chance that your blocking, with either weapon or shield, would fail, by 1%, compounded. So if initially you had a 15.0% chance to block, on level 99 you would have a 68.3% chance to block, everything else being constant. Durability is how much damage an item can take blocking an attack for you before it breaks and becomes unusable. Broken items can be repaired, but durability can never be restored above 50% of its original (maximum) durability. Weapons cannot block projectile attacks. Note: Players cannot start training the melee skill they have achieved 99 [Attack], [Strength] and [Defence]
