History
| - The Spirit was originally published as a Sunday comic strip during the 1940s. The strip introduced a "resurrected" masked mystery man known as the Spirit. Soon after, Quality Comics began reprinting the strips in Police Comics and in his own title. Eventually, the Spirit was acquired by DC Comics, and has been introduced into DC's Earth-Spirit universe and their Pulpverse.
