Lin Tso (Chinese: 左琳; pinyin: Zuǒ Lín; b. June 12, 1983) is a newly-appointed member of the Georgeland Senate and the youngest member of either house of federal parliament. She is also the youngest ever woman Senator and the first woman Senator of Asian background (Tso was born to Chinese parents). Tso was appointed to fill the senate vacancy left by Robin Sales' resignation in July 2007. Tso's candidacy was considered as a "dark horse" because of her youth and inexperience, but was able to win the nomination of her party due to her relationship with the party's right-wing and her position as state President of the Young Liberal Democrats, to which she was elected in 2006.
