The Floating Islands is an infamous Adventure mode's level in Super Smash Flash composed by Wario Land 4 sprites. The objective of the player is to climb the long stage avoiding Wario Land 4's enemies and reach the top stone door of it. However, despite having content from the Wario series, this is not necesarily a Wario-centric stage; it is reserved for the McLeodGaming universe. This is because the Wario universe was never once introduced in SSF.

The maximum amount of floating islands in a large map is 8. Floating Islands can be found at different levels of height, based on the size of the map selected. Use a Depth Meter to determine your height. If you don't have a Depth Meter, you can build your way to the top of the map, and then count tiles as you descend. On a small map, a Skybridge built about 80 tiles (160 feet) below the top of the world is optimal for finding the islands. Even though it has all the requirements for it to be a house (if you place a lighting equipment), it is not recommended because a NPC will have trouble getting up. Floating islands are found at the following heights above sea level (depending on World Size):
* Small World - Floating Islands are located around 400 feet above sea level, and in some circumstances are very close to large hills.
* Medium World - they are generally found around 400 to 750 feet. The easiest way to find one is to move horizontally at about 480 feet (estimation).
* Large World - they are located between 400-1200 feet. It can be more difficult to find islands on large maps, due to the broad height range; the best option is to get a map viewer, so it's easier to spot them. You can also use a Gravitation Potion if you feel it is needed.
* All Console Worlds - they are located between 75-150 meters.

There is a section of land at the bottom-right corner that can be used for Banana Farms, Sniper Monkeys, and Mortar Towers. What is unique about this track is that after every round, the seven circular islands will change positions in a heptagram formation (3 spaces counterclockwise). Any towers placed on the islands will also be relocated. This can easily mess up strategies that require accurate placement, i.e. Spike Factories and MOAB Maulers. However, because of this, you can be able to place temples extremely close to each other. This can also make for odd looking tower arrangements. If you wish for a tower to be put in a stationary position, it is recommended to place it on the bottom-right island.
