Daran of Trebond was fifth child of Coram Smythesson and Rispah Cooper, the baron and baroness of Trebond. Daran had nine siblings: Jonthair, Alinna, Thomsen, Mylec, Liam, Thayine, Rose, Elenna, and Buran. There's not much known about him, but at some point he joined the King's Own. Unlike his older brothers, he didn't undergo training for knighthood. He worked as a scout during the Scanran War. He didn't appear in any of the novels so far, and has only been mentioned by Tamora Pierce on the internet.
