This represents only the "stock" configuration, as customers could customize the guitar to their own desires. The customer could select the pickup configuration and pickups, the fretboard material and inlays, the headstock, the hardware color and more. The UCMD1ST was discontinued after 1991 along with the rest of the Metal Design series.
