His father still believed highly in the New Order, but his mother slowly began to grow dissident feelings. Already, actions were taken to rid the galaxy of "corruption and deceit" as the Emperor passed law after law, enforced by Lord Vader, oppressing non-human species and sucking liberty out of everyone around him. When T'aan's mother couldn't bear to watch the galaxy - and her family - crumple under the Emperor's grip she filed for divorce and disappeared, taking the young boy with her.
