Darüber hinaus warf er vier No-Hitter und ein Perfect Game. 1972 wurde Koufax in die Baseball Hall of Fame aufgenommen.
- Sanford "Sandy" Koufax (IPA pronunciation: /'kofæks/) (born Sanford Braun on December 30 1935 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American former left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball who played his entire career for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers from 1955 to 1966. Koufax, an American Jew, also refused to pitch Game 1 of the 1965 World Series because game day fell on Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement.
