Pets are animals that can live in the Dragonborn's house in The Elder Scrolls V: Hearthfire if adopted children ask to keep one. Adopted children can randomly bring home pets once they have moved into one of the Dragonborn's homes. Through dialogue, the ability to either accept or decline pet adoption exists.
