He graduated from the Mapua Institute of Technology with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronic and Communications Engineering and taught elementary and high school mathematics in Valenzuela City, Philippines. In 2004, Carlos began to enhance the mathematical concept which he learned from his father, Engr. Conrado A. Estrella to help prepare his daughter for academics. He formulate a module on how it can be shared easily this new math method, collecting all knowledge that he learned and further developed the new system. He filed and has the copyright for the new system which he later called [Ez math]]. In December 08, 2005, Carlos C. Estrella formally introduced the new teaching concept called the [Ez math]] system, which has enjoyed increasing success to the present day. This method involves several steps that a student must follow in order to achieve the correct answer very fast and accurate. It also involves finger method that acts as a hidden calculator or a storage device to aid the student to remember the steps taken. As it progress, it develops like a chain, each steps are linked to the next level of expertise, forming a long chain of methods. A student will find that the next system that he will learn is almost exactly the same as he previously learned. In February 02, 2007, Carlos founded the eZ Math Learning Center, a tutorial center which offered the [Ez math]] system. Ever since it was introduced, the [Ez math]] system has aided students who participated in television contests and quiz bee competitions like the Battle of the Brains and landed second place in over-all standing. It was also featured last June 17, 2007 under the episode KIDDIE WOW! in the widely viewed Sunday TV program, Rated-K with Ms. Korina Sanchez in ABS-CBN Channel 2 together with his Grade 3 daughter Nicole Ann Louise A. Estrella and another First Year High School student.
