The Morale Initiative was a series of missions undertakes by M1-4X during the Galactic War. After being recruited into Havoc Squad in 3643 BBY, the ultra-patriotic droid set out to improve the morale of the Galactic Republic by neutralizing several high-value Imperial targets: Ambassador, Sith Lord Kavos, and Colonel Rebus. After capture of Rebus and the Ambassador and the death of Lord Kavos by the hand of M1-4X, morale across Republic forces did show a statistically significant improvement.

Following the Eternal Empire conquest and the signing of the Zakuul–Republic treaty, Republic command took note of the success of the Morale Initiative and reassigned M1-4X to Republic Press Corps, where he could continue to increase morale of the Republic forces away from the front lines.
