Anime Midwest is an anime convention, held annually near Chicago. The convention takes place over three days on the Fourth of July weekend. Events at the convention include anime screenings, video game tournaments, vendors and artists, guest panels, cosplay competitions, fan discussion panels, and many other events typically found at an anime convention. The most recent convention, expected to draw more than 2,000 visitors, was held July 6–8, 2012 at the Wyndham in Lisle, with admission being $35 for a weekend pass or $25 for a single-day admission.
