The Guan Li (Traditional: 冠禮 Simplified: 冠礼) is the Confucian coming of age ceremony. The name Guan Li refers to the ceremony for men, while the Ji Li (Traditional: 笄禮 Simplified: 笄礼) refers to the one for women. The age of the person is usually 20 and during the ceremony, the person obtains a style name. These ceremonies are now rarely practiced in China, but there has been a recent resurgence, especially from those who are sympatheic to the Hanfu movement.
