| - Nick Lefebvre was a Canadian footballer who is widely held to be one of the all-time greatest strikers for Canada's Bartlett United. Lefebvre was trained in the youth system of one of West Toronto's storied amatuer organisations - Toronto Hearts. When Hearts joined three other amateur clubs to form Bartlett United in Season 7, Lefebvre was new Manager Leo Patrick first professional signing. As the first-ever player to sign a contract with United, Lefevbre's place in club history was secured. Over the United's first five seasons, Lefebvre led the club from their beginnings in FITA's Canadian 5.Division to the very competitive 2.Division. Paired with a constantly rotating cast of striking partners, Lefebvre - affectionally called Saint Nick by United's supporters - was seen to be the heart and soul of United's attack. In 268 official matches for United, he scored 119 goals and 42 assists. Over his nine seasons at United, Lefebvre helped write the club's record books in several categories, and many of his records still stand. In May of 2009, after sustaining a series of injuries and desiring a warmer climate in which to play, Lefebvre was sold for close to $100 million to Walt Disney Futura of Brazil's lower leagues. He appeared in thirteen matches for the Brazilian club, scoring five goals and a single assist before the club was dissolved at the end of Season 15 due to financial irregularities on the part of its ownership. The Brazilian arm of the Walt Disney Company protested the decision, but FITA was unmoved. Lefebvre's contract was tied up in litigation and after Season 16 began and he was still without a club, he opted to retire just four months shy of his thirty-first birthday. Lefebvre remains the most decorated player in Bartlett United history, and has, at some point, held virthually every record at the club. On December 21st, 2009, in Season 18, Lefebvre was one of the inaugural inductees into Bartlett United's Hall of Heroes. He settled in Brazil after his retirement, and continues to live there in seclusion.
