A successful reunion of the original members of the Yardbirds: drummer Jim McCarty, guitarist Chris Dreja and Paul Samwell-Smith, their bass player, was the catalyst to form Box of Frogs, a blues-based hard rock combo. The trio was reunited in the project for the first time since the old Yardbirds group disbanded in 1968. In 1983 they played a gig at the famed London Marquee Club, and due to its success, the group decided to form Box of Frogs. They found a vocalist - John Fiddler, formerly of Medicine Head and British Lions. They went into the studio to record an album, recruiting another Yardbird member Jeff Beck, who guested on several tracks. The album was released in 1984.
