When traveling through the enshrouding mists, one would occasionally come across a helpful sign that read "FOG AREA." Though, since the planet was almost entirely composed of fog, such signs became quite redundant. Actually, no one really knows what the hell lurks within the lavender mists of Gand; some say that the Force itself can be found there, while others (most notably fanboys) assert that the gloom actually hides many hot Twi'lek, Zeltron and Selonian babes.

At some point, however, the Sith had invaded the planet prior to the arrival of the Exiles on Korriban.[6] Gand was discovered prior to 3951 BBY, during the Kanz Disorders. In recent years, the planet escaped invasion during the Yuuzhan Vong War, and had no participation in the Second Galactic Civil War.
