The Model 105 Light Support Weapon System (M105 LSWS), also known as the M105 squad automatic weapon or M105 light machine gun, is the first in a line of multi-purpose light machine guns designed by Burns National. As its name implies, it is employed almost exclusively as a light support weapon, although it has been utilized to a lesser extent in other roles. It the successor to the UNSC Army's M102 Light Support Weapon System, and it was the first light machine gun to be used en masse by the Marine Corps since the FN Protecteur's service was discontinued in the 2460s.
