Arachnopaad is an ancient Sith Lightsabre form, unknown to the galaxy for centuries. Originally developed at a time when Sith used swords rather than lightsabres, when power-cord sabres became the weapon of choice it fell into disuse due to the difficulty in using the elaborate, swirling strikes with a power-cord attatched. Stylistically Arachnopaad is similar to Form II : Makashi and it is well suited to using the curved handle of the Form II sabre. A master of Arachnopaad can seem to be wielding two or more sabres simultaneously their strikes are so fast.

  • Arachnopaad is an ancient Sith Lightsabre form, unknown to the galaxy for centuries. Originally developed at a time when Sith used swords rather than lightsabres, when power-cord sabres became the weapon of choice it fell into disuse due to the difficulty in using the elaborate, swirling strikes with a power-cord attatched. Darius Malakai, upon his rebirth restarted the tradition of Arachnopaad, his first student the human Maris Eterna, also the first person to be infected with the Vankyr infection. The weightless blade, and the lack of a power-cord on modern sabres means Arachnopaad is more deadly and efficient in the modern era than ever before. Stylistically Arachnopaad is similar to Form II : Makashi and it is well suited to using the curved handle of the Form II sabre. The form Arachnopaad is based around a principle of making eight movements almost simultaneously, whether it being eight strikes, slashes, parries or a combination. It also is tilted towards amputation and dismemberment techniques. Due to the flowing, swirling style and the fact that some moves tend to put the user facing away from their opponent at times, excellent spacial awareness is essential. A master of Arachnopaad can seem to be wielding two or more sabres simultaneously their strikes are so fast.
