He was made in the same ceremony as the Charles "Bobby Milano" Caci and was assigned to the crew of capo Jimmy Caci. He started off as a bookie in Palm Springs where his brothers owned a restaurant and a gift shop. In 1980, Zangari was targeted in an investigation of mob infiltration into the Indian Gaming Industry, he was hired by the Cabazon Indian tribe in Riverside, California as their poker-room manager and was identified as a mobster in Senate testimony. He was subsequently fired. In 1998, Zangari along with Charles and Jimmy Caci were indicted, accused of taking part in a scheme to sell counterfeit traveler's checks and U.S. currency. He once did jail time and on another occasion was sentenced to probation because he pled guilty and the case against him was weak. It was Zangari who in the 1980's met at a Hollywood bar with Anthony Fiato and as Fiato approached Zangari he shook his hand, and Zangari patted him on the back and felt a recording device. Blowing Fiato's cover as FBI informant. Fiato and his brother Larry were forced to move to a hotel in Bakersfield and go into hiding after Anthony told the FBI what happened at the bar effectively ending the Fiato brothers' lives in the mob. Zangari later moved to Buffalo, New York and is currently inactive in the Los Angeles family.
