They return to a world much changed. Once, the Empyreans were the sole masters of this world. Now, the share their lost domain with the beings that their archmage, Asheron, introduced to Auberean. As the Empyreans learned to find common cause with the Humans, Tumeroks, and Lugians, another unexpected ally arrives. An old foe from the Humans' earliest settlements emerged from the darkness. No longer content to be pawns and slaves, the Drudges rebelled against the Burun. They established a town of their own, and celebrate their new-found freedom with a great festival of fire.
