Blackfriars Millennium Pier is close to Blackfriars Station, providing a transport interchange with Thameslink and South Eastern rail services, and with the Circle and District Lines on the London Underground. The Pier is seen predominantly as a commuter pier and thus is not typically served by River Bus services during weekend and bank holiday periods. Upstream of the pier is moored the former HMS President. The pier was made in 2000. It was funded by the City of London Corporation and London transport. The pier is served by river bus services to Putney operated by Thames Executive Charters and services between Embankment and Woolwich Arsenal operated by Thames Clippers.
