The Senshi talk and discuss who this enemy is and how they could save Sailor Mars. At the enemy's base it is revealed the Droids are created by their "Evil Black Crystal". The enemies decide that they will keep the unconscious Sailor Mars alive, by their master's advice. Berthier volunteers to take the next step of their plan. Berthier figures out who Sailor Mercury is after Ami locates the flaw in an underground water pipe without any tools. Berthier challenge Ami to a chess competition, where they meet face to face. Berthier reveals herself as the enemy and says she too is looking for the "Rabbit". The Sailor Senshi transform into their stronger evolved Sailor forms, and are attacked by Droids disguised as people. The Senshi destroy the Droids and Sailor Mercury creates an intense fog for cover. Berthier focuses the water in the sewers and uses it to trap Sailor Mercury in a prison of pure liquid water; thus using Sailor Mercury's own elemental abilities against her. Sailor Moon destroys Berthier with Moon Princess Halation, but the watery orb doesn't break. Rubeus appears and abducts Sailor Mercury in a UFO.
