Semnonia, though it was smaller than the former Province of Prussia, was one of the most divided Kingdoms of the Cimbrian Alliance. Prussia was one of the most diverse provinces of the Roman Empire while it was under their dominion. This made their division quite sharp and manageable for the Cimbrians to exploit. However, this made the management of these peoples in an actual state. There were six tribes in Semnonia, but they all had a common origin from the Semnones as named by the Romans. The wealthiest Duchy was the smallest and was called the Duchy of Hevelirst. It included the capital city of Hevelirst (Potsdam) which was the largest in the Kingdom and home of the General Bjorn who was elected King of these people but then died a few years later from the an internal battle wound which did not manifest symptoms until it was too late. The son of Bjorn, his First Lieutenant and Duke of Hevelirst while Bjorn was King, became the next King of Semnonia. Bjorn II, changed from his original name of Sigvaðir, was much less popular than his father and competed often with the Five Dukes of his court. The Duke of Gotinirst, land of the Gotini people, which centered around the port of Gotinin (Schwerin), was the King's biggest rival and made many connections with the other Dukes with the intention of having them elect him King. Bjorn II interpreted this to be a possible attempt on his life and covertly expressed his disapproval and the fact that such plots were not acceptable in his Kingdom. In the year 1223 (450 AD) King Bjorn II layed to rest the body of Heimdallr, Duke of Gotinirst. All people in the room knew what this meant and the reputation of the king began to improve though the differences between all the Duchies continued.
