This is one of the simpler machines constructed by the Eds, as it consisted of just two ropes and Ed operating them. Initially, it seemed as though the machine would work perfectly and the Eds would be able to get their badge. However, Ed soon got too excited and leapt from his perch, ripping through the hammock and destroying the pulley. For this reason, the pulley was a failure, and the Eds were unable to earn their badge.
