| - When a corebook contains all the rules, one article should be created, with a publication history and then section about the games. This applies to games with more than one edition. Trilogies or other sets can be handled the same way, until the article becomes too unwieldy. Games supported by multiple sourcebooks have one article for the rules, which also serves as the article for the core rulebook if the game system does not have its own name. If a game is supported by multiple sourcebooks, and especially if it has a long publication history, its officially named game system should have its own article (which could be the name of the core rulebook, if that is its name). The main article is categorized as a game system, gets its own category, and that category for the system is then also applied to the books. Articles about specific books that are not a self-contained core rulebook, or articles about specific core rulebooks for which there exists an article about the game system, are categorized as publications, and also under the category created for its game system, if it exists. Articles specifically about a particular publication are not categorized under the general category that genre of role-playing game.
