They were selected by hand by captain Argus Blade from the imperial navis finest guardsmen and trained by the Battle-Brothers Arran and Rafael. It was Rafael who forged the blood-bond and swore them to fight under the special protection of his Primarch Sanguinicus. They were trained and forged for one purpose only: to accompany the three Battle-Brothers Arran, Makrodon and Rafael in their grim battle on the tyranid ship that spawned the enemy´s invasion force over Avalos. Their glorious last stand was on 2 106 816.M41 on the tyranid ship. Forty stood against a hundred thousands and by that rescued a planet and its population. On that day they denied the xenos. Their names are engraved in two places. The first is on the wall of Destructor Divinatus´ chapel and the second is on Salvation Hill on Avalos in the city of Lordsholm. Their deeds will be remembered as long as Avalos holds and beyond that time.
