The rules of hockey are very simple: 1) There are 6 people for each team on the ice. Of the six, there are 5 player and 1 goalie defending the net. 2) The main goal for the 5 players are to put the puck in the other team's net. 3) There are a number of infractions that a player is not able to do. These include, but are not limited to: Elbowing, Slashing, Tripping, Hooking, Fighting, as well as more. Those are the basic rules.
