He is now known as the First Uzushiokage and is the leader of the village but is known for his ruthlessness and tyranny. Little to his knowledge a true hero to the Uzumaki, Nemu Uzumaki was going to challenge his authority and perform a coup d'tat backed up by the villagers and Uzushiogakure's military to end Kai's reign, and take leadership as the 2nd Uzushiokage. Nemu Uzumaki as the leader of the village wanted revenge on the other villages for turning against them, and nullified any alliance with Konoha due to them not helping them in their time of need. Despite this Uzushiogakure now has a booming economy thanks to being next to a large source of water, and all of the resources that are available to them so mush so that they hardly need to trade with the other major nations, sticking to trading with smaller countries. Nemu has enforced stringent imigration policies for the protection of his people. Being a member of the Akatsuki, Nemu has allowed the organization to use the village to conduct their business and as such has also struck an alliance with the Land of Demons, because the leader of Akumagakure also happens to be an Akatsuki member.
