Erebus was able to locate the artifact by himself, but in the successive ambush Darth Improcerus proved vital in their escape. The pair traveled to Chromovon, where Improcerus continued to be taught. More clues of a Sith artifact drew Erebus and an impatient Improcerus to the distant planet Nigreosis. Erebus's obsession with the finding of the artifact inspired an anger at his master, and a duel soon arose between them. The duel ended in the death of τσנָ'πik, the destruction of the Great Aesulis, and the ingurgitation of Darth Erebus through a time portal called the Aetastero Portal. Following this climatic ending, Improcerus left the planet, venturing back to his homeworld Placatus. There he created an army out of the inhabitants. After ravaging the planet with his newfound power, he built a massive temple in his honor. This awakened the Jedi to his capabilities, and they sent Improcerus's Jedi brother Nakullma to the planet to challenge him. Darth Improcerus sent his zombie-like army to attack his brother, but Nakullma was able to defeat much of the Sith's legion, before being ambushed by Improcerus himself. The two dueled, but the duel ended in Darth Improcerus's defeat and death.
