abstract
  • The yellow-bellied sand lizard was a small non-sentient reptilian species originating from an unknown homeworld, though their name and behavior suggest they adapted to desert climates. An adult yellow-bellied sand lizard could be trained to perform several complex tasks. When the Nu-Cosian storyteller, Bobbajo visited the Reestkii settlement on Jakku, he exhibited a pair of yellow-bellied sand lizards, whom he had trained himself. They leaped from his sleeves and reared themselves onto their hind legs, whereupon they puffed their chests and swayed in rhythmic unison. On his command, the pair scuttled back to the cages and released a pair of zhhee, which they proceeded to mount.
