Whenever Leshawna first appeared in SRC, she and Sean both admitted to going out. Leshawna was also labeled as Sean's girlfriend, and she also shares many similar traits to Sean (i.e. loving power, hating Skittles, being fans of Godzilla, etc.). Leshawna also had a rather childish side, since she and Sean (as well as Morshu from Zelda CD-i, although the latter was for joke factor) drew on Knuckles's face with sharpie and crayon while he was still frozen in shock from learning about Sean's and Leshawna's relationship.

It could be debated the girl the reader saw at the end of SRC Chapter 24 was Leshawna, but since nothing has ever been referenced of that scene in Chapter 25, her appearance there can be disputed.
