Henry first became active in the Tampa mob in the 1950s. Henry was repeatedly identified as a made member of the Tampa LCN family over the years and reportedly held the rank of soldier within the crime organization. He worked closely with Tampa mob associate Frank "Cowboy" Ippolito- together they ran illegal gambling operations out of the Italian Club and La Tropicana in Ybor City where he primarily operated.
