Henry first became active in the Tampa mob in the 1950s. Henry was repeatedly identified as a made member of the Tampa LCN family over the years and reportedly held the rank of soldier within the crime organization. He worked closely with Tampa mob associate Frank "Cowboy" Ippolito- together they ran illegal gambling operations out of the Italian Club and La Tropicana in Ybor City where he primarily operated. The Ybor city area was heavily influenced by Cuban and Sicilian immigrants. Henry was involved in gambling activities such as bolita (the numbers rackets) and bookmaking. Henry was said to have been very well respected and capable of filling his brother Santo's shoes as boss of the Tampa family upon his death in 1987 but Capo Vincent LoScalzo was instead chosen to take over the crime family. LoScalzo was said to have been chosen to become boss by Santo Jr. himself before his death. Henry was reportedly infuriated by this and retired from the Tampa organized crime family. Enrico "Henry" Trafficante died of natural causes in 2002.
