And they are really starting to add up thanks to the joining of the Dutch, the Dimurats and Arabians into the war, which have provided great boosts to morale and numbers. Victory is for sure, but its terms are a mystery. As of now, however, we have reached the Caspian Sea and have conquered everything south of the Caucasus to the Mesopotamian border. Also, the Roman-Azerbaijan Fleet destroys the Persian fleet in the Caspian. Madagascar colony expands by 3000 sq km. Rome continues building relations with Carthage, giving lavish gifts to its king and offering it any aid it wishes. Rome also continues upping its trade with Carthage, in hopes one day the two nations may be much closer.
* The Mononobe Shogunate builds up the military and continues to expand more into Reiuzi (Kamchatka) by 5000 sq km. More Taoist Temples and Shinto Shrines are built in Reiuzi. Meanwhile, Okinawa Kingdom builds up its military. Also, Kasodani expands by 1500 sq km, Tōkaidō expands by 1500 sq km, Tojiko expands by 700 sq km. Taoism in Kasodani continues to rise in popularity and more Taoist Temples are built. Miyako Governor Mononobe Yamashiro helps the Great Haruwin of the Selk'nam building fortifications and explains to them all about the metal, how it's made, and where it comes from.
* Hungary: Emperor László VII recruits more soldiers and defenses are built up. Agriculture continues improving the quality of life of farmers. The industry progresses. Trade increases to neighboring countries bordering the Black Sea. Fleet commanded by Grand Admiral Zsak Mikal keeps controlling all the Black Sea and expands their numbers. Hungarian colony Ubanga expands 1000 km north. The army is moved and the vasalization of Kuban continue, and the next year will be finished.
* Duchy of Wallachia: The central government gives guidelines for economic and military growth and follows the model of Hungary.
* Great Haruwin of the Selk'nam: Aided by Japanese assistance and fortification, the Selk'nam repel the warring tribes from their territory and subjugate their haruwin (100 sq km to the West). In addition, the tantalizing prospect of stability and advancing technology convinces the Alacaluf sea tribes to join the Great Haruwin, expanding the territory northward to the sea. The Great Haruwin is now a multi-ethnic coalition incorporating both the livestock-herding Selk'nam and the sea-going fishermen of the Alacaluf. Chongat Yagich is given the expanded title of "Great Chief Over All the Guanaco Herds and Lord of the People of the Fish". At the ceremony unifying the two peoples, the great chief tells his people, "We will not stop until all the land of Selk'nam Yachich is peaceful, and every man can feed his child with the flesh of fat guanacos and the best fish of the sea! Our Haruwin's greatness will reach the stars, and together with our friends, none will stand in our way. Also, we must thank the great Haruwin of Mehee-yah-kuh, and with their guidance we will soon drop our bows and make blades that shine like the sun!" Mononobe advisers are presented with massive piles of guanaco furs as tribute and carried through the streets of Ona Yagich on the shoulders of jubilant Selk'nam warriors. Chongat Yagich promises that all Mononobe traders will be given imperial protection in the Great Haruwin, and that Mononobe merchants and industrialists are free to set up their businesses within the borders of the Haruwin. Lastly, Chongat Yagich asks that his eldest son - 12 year old Gutcha'a Yagich - be educated in Mononobe schools until his 16th birthday.
* Normandy: Two bombings occur in Rouen, both committed by Breton nationalists. Both occurred on June 20. This time, prototype landmines were used. The first bombing consisted of two mines exploding at 7:37 AM at a hospital. 45 were killed and 120 were injured. The building was partially destroyed. The second bombing, consisting of three mines, occurred five minutes later at 7:42. It occurred in a crowded market street. 61 were killed and 250 were injured. 106 were killed in total in what is now the second major attack on Normandy by Breton nationalists. Tensions arise greatly and Queen JeAnne promises retribution will occur.
* UMSHM: Gladdened that Brandenburg is no longer calling for war, the King-Duke again invites Brandenburg to the conference in Magdeburg to discuss a solution to the "Luxembourg problem". The Saxon Africa Company sets up a small "factory" (in the colonial sense, not the industrial one) north of the two forts in Saxon West Africa. A new ship is produced by the Royal shipyard in Saxon Norway. The Landtag passes legislation allowing for private individuals to establish preparatory schools and pre-preparatory schools, for 16-19 year-olds and 11-16 year-olds respectively. The schools will naturally cost money to attend, so only middle-class and wealthy children will have access to education. The intellectuals at the Kassel University start a group known as the "emancipationists", who call for an abolition to all serfdom, but it hasn't been taken very seriously by the establishment.

* Primatial City of Magdeburg: More priests are sent to the missions in Australis, mainly to replace the old priests who, being priests, can't actually sustain their population over a long period. This leads the Holy Wettin Missionary Order to encourage more men to become Deacons, as they are allowed to marry. For the first time, a text by an aborigine is published. The pamphlet, by a man known as Benedict-Dharrawal, mainly discusses traditional aboriginal life and the customs of the local people. The pamphlet gains the attention of the Bishop of Australis, who sends it immediately to Europe for reprinting. The ship stationed off the Boniface coast returns to Europe, and its replacement is expected next year.
* The Arabian Federation builds up its military as the Federation capture Riyadh from the Persian controlled Sultanate of Arabia. Several of the Arabian states in Arabia and the Persian states also expand into Persian territoriy annexing the territory into the Sheikdom states. The Federation also consorts with local Sheiks to get them to rebel against the Persians in return for independent Sheik state status when they become part of the federation.
* The Arabian Caliphate builds up its military as the Caliphate sends more troops to re-conquer parts of Arabia that were sold to the Arabian Sultanate. Caliph Ali returns from meeting Sultan Yazid of the Arabian Federation after the new border agreement is agreed to. However, disagreement remains over the role that the Caliph will play in the future Arabia.
* The Maldives builds up its military as the Maldives sends ships to attack the Persian coastline and raid Persian shipping.
* The Republic of Comchellak builds up its military as the republic sends more troops to help fight against Persia. Persian Indian Ocean trading is raided, too.
* Italia continues to focus on its economy with the grand fleet headed to Altantia. Trade booms with Japan while the Italians continue to be puzzled at the secret of the silkworms... (OTL the Chinese did not reveal the mulberry bush as the silkworm's food source for centuries). All attempts to produce silk have failed to date. The Italians continue to pester the Chinese for more information. Meanwhile, tea drinking becomes popular with the elite of Italia as Chinese prices are high. Italia seeks to open up the Chinese trade market more. Inca expands by 4800 sq km while Nuovo Treviso and Nuovo Venexia expand by 600 sq km each. Nya Gyptios expands by 10,000 sq km due to an influx of migrants. Malacca expands by 5000 sq km while the Aymaras expand by 10,000 sq km inland.
* The NOC of Orissa propose a tea deal with the Italians (we are the largest growers of tea OTL). We are offering a lucrative contract if Italia would like so.
* How did you get the tea from China?
* Orissa grows its own tea in the plantations of Bengal and southern Orissa as well as Northern Bihar (really, we are the reason why the Brits like tea so much).
* Koori Union: The Koori Union expands 10,000 km and takes control of the island chain named Vanuatu off their eastern coast. The island and surrounding islands known as New Caledonia are occupied by Koori Yung soldiers transported by the Koori Nuwa, as it is planned that they will be colonised next year. A number of ships and a settlement is spotted on a large island to the east. The ships spotted do not match any seen previously, and an envoy is sent. They arrive at the island and meet a people representing a state known as Italia. The envoy offers a trade deal with the Koori Union and a non-aggression pact. We await a response. The port at Tarndanya is completed, and begins to bring in trade, which causes the settlement to grow at a faster rate. Another three ships of the Koori Nuwa are completed, bringing the total to thirty three. A number of trade vessels are built in the ports of the Koori Union and are added into the Koori Trading Company. The KTC, covering all the ports of the Koori Union, Ming China, Mononobe Shogunate, Normandy, Mayan Empire, and Maori Union, results with trade in the Western European, East Asian and Central American theatres dramatically increasing, and due to the criteria of the KTC, great profits result for all members. The massive re-education campaign continues, and it is planned that by next year all Koori will speak the new language of Koori. The general education plan continues to be developed, and a number of large schools are completed in each of the Koori Union's cities. A number of Koori children begin to attend these. Karmai Delar and the Grand Council begin to fear the increased sightings of foreign states around their lands, and as a result, puts the Koori Yung into an advanced training regime and on high alert. The Koori Union also forms the Koori Grand Coalition. The Koori Grand Coalition is a defensive coalition, where if unprovoked war is declared upon one of its members, all members shall declare total war on the aggressor. The Koori Union and Maori Union are the founding nations. Offers are sent to the Mononobe Shogunate, Ming China, and Normandy due to their long standing alliances and trade deals with the Koori Union, as well as their membership of the KTC. It is planned to invite the Mayan Empire to the KGC, but only after relations have taken place for a longer period. An offer is sent out to Aborigines in surrounding lands offering asylum and Koori citizenship to any that choose to enter the Koori Union within the immediate future. After a long period of time the population of the Koori Union has recovered fully from the epidemics of plague and smallpox.
* Italia fails to see what the Koori Union has to offer Italia in trade especially as the Venetian League is larger, more successful and more effcient that the Koori Trade Company as it has been developing for over half a millennium.
* We are disappointed by the reaction of Italia. We would also like to clarify we were not offering KTC membership, just offering a simple trade deal. In terms of what we could offer, it would be resources from Bamalnura that are not found elsewhere.
* Maori Union: The Maori settlements continue to expand, with more Maori moving from tribal settlements to the new settlements. The Maori Taua continues to expand, and the recruitment drive continues. Ports begin to be constructed within the Maori settlements, so that trade can increase greatly. Stone roads start to be built between the Maori Union's settlements, so that travel is greatly increased. Horses are presented to the Maori Union from the Koori Union, and their use starts to be taken up.
* Ethiopia's emperor orders the invasion of Myanmar, seeking to increase Ethiopian influence in the region as well as gain a new vassal as well. The colony of Warqama is expanded by 1000 km and the colony of Yawab Wajab expanded by 1000 km. The vassals of Adal, Warsangali, and Maynila are expanded by 10,000 km each, and the vassals of Khmer Koch and Yemen expand their economies and militaries.
* Sorry Viva, but the Shan state is already a Chinese vassal. I would suggest invading either the Somali City-States or Sudan.
* France: The military is built up, after years of considering the offer of the Confederation agrees. It now asures that it will ally with the Confederation. If the rule over Lorraine by the King of France is respected by all members of the confederation. While this, the colonies expand at their usual rates: 1500 sq km Nouvelle Bourgogne, Brasilea and Guiane, and 1000 sq km La Riviere and Erik's Bay.
* Switzerland: Military is built up.
* Occitania: Military and navy are built up.

* Tyrolia: Military is built up.

* The idea of Pike Roads is hailed as a success. All of the roads are now used regularly and have helped increase profit. The University of Bhubaneswar continues to be built at full pace. No expense is spared. More schools are made, and more children are sent to those schools as the number of merchants' profits grow. Cebunese and Ethiopian are both learned by school students while German, Khmer and Italia are offered as optional languages. The Navy continues to stay on high alert, seeing the turbulent conditions in Persia and the number of pirates operating in the area. Scientists continue to work in the field of biology. The vaccination is produced in very large numbers, to be sent to Matama for use. On Matama, all of the population is immunised against smallpox. However, there were some deaths of individuals. This causes some unrest, but it is soon calmed by the Governor saying that they are immune to smallpox and do not need to worry about the disease ever again. The white population on Matama continues to grow as a baby boom continues on the nation. All babies are immunised, and this tradition is set to continue to ensure that babies have immunity from an early age. The Taj Mahal continues to attract many visitors. The NOC continues to trade more with Italia. The SOC continues their profiting endeavours, buying out much competition and making the state basically another one of their selling grounds. The Sultan takes on the new title, Raja of Brunei. With his nation in a Dynastic Union, the flow of trading goods and converters into the nation is much easier. They use the Caliphate scapegoat and how Islam is not the word of God as they caused so much bloodshed. As a result, thousands convert back to Hinduism. Naya Mataram grows 200 km onto Sulwasi. Patagonshina grows by 2000 km in South America. Bengal finally vassalises Kuch and Assam and begins to construct new roads to extend its rich trading to the two nations. Carnatic is also incorporated into Orissa after many years of good relations and economic development.
* Mataram pumps propaganda into its conquered territories, to create a sense of Mataramism. The spice trade continues to make merchants profitable and trading between it and Orissa grows. Many of the uncivilised are moved into towns where they become cheap labour. Some, however, are civilised and escape this trade. Relations between Mataram and Brunei improve significantly with the nation in a Dynastic Union with Orissa.
* China, after years of excellent relations and political maneuvering, makes the Shan state a vassal of China. There is much rejoicing. In the meantime, the military and economy both expand. In Africa, the Zulu vassal expands by 500 sq km.
* After an unsuccessful assassination attempt, the Shah of Persia is really under a ton of stress. He blames Arabian terrorists, but in reality it was a task force from the various Sultans. The Shah is quickly losing land, and then orders his troops to fall back, and destroy all remaining cities. He wants the usurpers not to gain any wealth, so the entire treasury is dumped into the Caspian Sea. By August, he is assassinated successfully. Newly crowned Shah Arsuf II then organizes a large group of Persian nationals to commit mass suicide. Almost 3000 Persians kill themselves, rather than submit to foreign domination. In the ensuing anarchy, the Patriarch of New Persepolis, the only remaining leader in Persia, agrees to unconditional surrender, and agrees to the terms in the Treaty of Riyadh. Persia is disbanded, and split up between foreign powers.
* A Eulogy to Persia: This nation has really opened up the Middle East. The main powers that existed before the entrance of Persia on the world scene have emerged as more powerful nations now. They are really capable of rivaling most kingdoms in the world at this point. Persia allowed for the unification of Arabia, which would have only happened in many decades, in only a few years. Our untimely demise really is a blessing to the other nations. I understand it is not personal.

A ship going to trade with Rome's Madagascar colony stumbles upon what would be OTL Melakey region, in Madagascar. A small port village is set up called Bedayat, the beginning of a colony. Military, economy and infrastructure are improved.
* Kingdom of the Netherlands: King Niejmen I continues to improve the military, focusing on the navy, and also economy expands. King of Wales and Netherlands celebrate the marriage, and the future union. New Zeeland (Puerto Rico) continue to expand to the northeast of OTL Venezuela 500 km. Argentium colony expands 1000 km north. Chile colony expands the north coast 500 km. Bremen and Liege expand economy and industry. Acech expands its military, and builds more ships in Andaman, also start to be close to Pasai and become one kingdom. Kongo expands the military and uses Dutch weapons and technology, and expands inland 4000 sq km.
* Russian soldiers are victorious in Persia ... and the Russian Tsar is sad that Persia surrendered before Russia could aid their ally. In any case, Russia upgrades its economy, and the Russian Pacific fleet is finally established. Invasion of the Circaucasian States is planned for 1700, and Russia asks Rome to join in and help (sorry, I got your message late...I would have declared war on Persia this turn...). Novorossiya expand by 4500 sq km.
* The King of Wales, Gavin II dies, and his son, Gavin III Pugh is crowned King of Wales. The King is relatively young (only 19) and is still unmarried. His current main concern is finding a wife of relative status, so he looks throughout Europe for a wife with noble titles. He notices the current Queen Regnant of Scotland, Agnes, is unmarried and of a similar age, and travels north to Glasgow to court her. Their relationship is going well, and they even begin to talk about marriage. The regent, while Gavin was away, was his uncle, Lewis Pugh. He began a large infrastructure build. This results in the construction of a massive road system, which has connected Cardiff to Bristol to Plymouth to Portsmouth to London. Plans are laid out for further growth of the road system. In addition, the military is grown and the economy grows as a result of the Welsh Trade Company, which was royally chartered early in the year.
* Cornwall, with its capital at Plymouth, mourned heavily at the loss of Gavin II, who was very pro-Cornwall. They also grow their navy to help supply all of Wales with adequate naval protection. Lincoln has focused more on their economy in the past few years, and their capital is growing into one of the largest cities in Northumberland. Ulster looks down to Leinster and proposes to Gavin III a possible invasion of Leinster, which would put 50% of Ireland in the hands of Wales.
* The Mayan Empire continues trade with European colonies and the Apache. More representatives are sent to the Apache, to help improve local infrastructure and the regulations for the national government. To set a definite border with European colonies in the north, a diplomat is sent to Cyprus to inquire about purchasing land south of the OTL Rio Grande. The Royal Science Academy continues work on scientific projects. The Army and Navy continue training exercises in and around the Mayan Sea. The Empire persists in pressuring the leaders of the Apache to join the Empire. The Chambers continue to send workers to go update the local infrastructure and roadways in the Miskito Kingdom. Flax and tobacco are grown. Linen is produced in Mutul and Azteca. Kappelism and Germanic Catholicism continue gaining followers. Money is invested in regional projects to promote wealth and business. Middle class families continue rising to prominence in some of the more wealthy provinces. Xaman expands 3150 km and Haven expands 1100 km.
* Germany expands its military and economy. Colonies expands as they did last year. We continue talks with the preparation, with the military on standby along the entire Germanic border. The school system expands.
