The Three-Headed Hydra is a hydra that inhabits the Orb Of Hydra which figures in the cartoon show Season 4 episode "The Gargoyle Of Quarrel Castle". It had been magically imprisoned in the orb, presumably by its owners Selwyn and Tallulah, a married pair of sorcerers who live at Quarrel Castle with their pet gargoyle Tharp. The monster can only be freed if someone kicks the orb, which unfortunately is exactly what happened when Tharp mistook it for his favorite ball when he went to play with the Smurfs. Once freed, the Hydra grew to gigantic size and began to torment the Smurfs, until Selwyn and Tallulah arrived to shrink it and return it back into the Orb. It has never been seen again.
