  • Corellia Antilles was the unofficial title of a series of holovid films which debuted near the height of the Galactic Civil War. The films starred Sinnif Kuat as the title character, ostensibly a "xenoarchaeologist," although the films featured him as more of a swashbuckling treasure-hunter. The films were set near the time of the Great Hyperspace War, and often featured Antilles hunting down various Jedi artifacts. Wildly inaccurate, the films referred to the Jedi as already being extinct, and heavily implied the Jedi and other Force users gained their powers through the use of magical artifacts rather than inherent abilities. Despite the holovids being released under Imperial rule and making frequent references to the Jedi—with two films focusing on them entirely—the Empire made no effort to censor their content. This was because the films' portrayal of Jedi and the Force were so inaccurate that it only served to enhance the notion that the Force was a fictitious religion. The series' final film, Corellia Antilles and the Final Voyage, was released shortly before Luke Skywalker's fame began to spread across the galaxy. Following the resurgence of the New Jedi Order, the films lost all credibility and were considered something of a joke, despite their original theatrical success.
