Where am I... I thought to myself. My eyes opened inside a strange cave, lit by a nearby fire. I sat up, the noticed I was lying down on a soft hay bed made carefully by hand. "Nice bed..." I muttered to myself. Great, I'm talking to myself now, I'm crazy. The same teal cat that saved me appeared from the shadows, carrying bandages and a strange medicine bottle with care. I looked at its eyes, wondering if it was as harmful as that snake that almost killed me for supper. "Uh...who are you?" I asked, tilting my head a bit in confusion. She was panting. "It'll be back soon...with friends too"

  • Where am I... The teal cat did not reply. Then, my freaking senses came back to me again. I'm stuck in a cave, my left arm and my right leg became a snack for a spazzy snake, and now I'm stuck in a cave with a teal cat who can walk like a human. I told myself that I must be dreaming all this and it'll all end soon. It didn't. The next few days went by silently. The teal cat provided me with Berries (very delicious and filling) and water from the town's well without a word. I tried to engage a normal conversation with him, but he doesn't like talking much. As the third day passed by, I looked at the cat. He was carving a spear out of wood with his claws, a large piece of wood that I couldn't carry. I asked him what his name was. With a final stroke of his claws, he looked up at me, gazing with his yellow-lunar eyes. The voice that I did not expect replied, feminine, sounds like an older teenager. "I'm Chelsea Sparks". Sparks? Okay things must be really getting out of hand for me. I'm beggining to wonder if my "helpers" drugged me last night. I shook my head back to reality and replied. "I'm Timothy Delacruz""Delacruz?" She laughed, carving her wood at the same time while gazing at me. "What kind of a wacky name is that?" That's it, I had enough. I stood up, well, fell down to be exact. I forgot I lost my limbs. She laughed on the sight of me stumbling and offered a hand. I refused, and her smirk turned into a frown. "Alright then Tim", she said. Then she leaned against the wall and again, carved the spear out of the wood. "Do you mind telling me where the heck am I?" I said impatiently. Chelsea looked up at me, annoyed like me. "Cut the sh*t Tim" she said with distaste, "I didn't save your but just so that I could be yelled at". She continued to carve her spear, then blew off the wood chips from the tip. She poked it and pretended to jab the air. I wanted to grab it and smack it right in her smug little- All the sudden I heard rustling outside the cave. Chelsea's expression went serious, she told me to stay low using hand motions. Great, yeah no problem there. She advanced outside and looked around. All the sudden a huge snake, larger than that one that attacked me, wrapped around her as if she was a doll. It began to squeeze the lights out of her, her wood spear layed on the floor, waiting for its master to pick it up. I limped over to it using one paw, I gotta help her out. The snake was too occupied by Chelsea, so I had the chance to grasp the spear with my free hand. I raised the tip up, and stabbed it right in the skin of the snake. The snake screeched in pain, releasing Chelsea as it fled. I looked at Chelsea's body. She was panting. I couldn't do anything but watch as she stumbled back to balance. "Thanks" she said with a smile. I smiled back and nodded. "It'll be back soon...with friends too" "Great" I muttered, "more murderers..." "Oh shut your trap Tim" She said with annoyance, I did what I was told. "You'll be safe once we find a new location" Chelsea drew up a map, I tried to get a look but the darn shadows prevented me from looking through the map from underneath. She closed it, looking down at me. "I found a location" she said. I felt like a doll. Five days of travelling, being pulled by the leg felt really awkward. Not to mention all the rocks, roots, bugs, and other things that bumped my head along the way. Chelsea seemed to really care about me, so I told myself to gather respect for her. Unless if she's gonna eat me for supper. The next few days were spent in another cave, this one near a coastal area. Man I loved the beach, but it also reminded me of that snake. Even though she tore me limb from limb, I still loved her a bit, I don't know why. Now I knew I'm crazy. Chelsea used two sticks to prepare a fire, then growled, dropping them to the floor. "I give up, I'm finding more dry wood" she muttered as she left. "Okay bye" I said, looking at her. All my days have been spent leaning against this cold, rocky cave wall. Well it's better than being with a murderous snake, I thought to myself. Luckily I entertained myself by watching the waves go by, and looking at the sky as seagulls with blue striped-wings flew by. It was very beautiful. Chelsea did not return until dusk, I was starving like crazy. She dropped a dead crab in front of me. "Dead Krabby for dinner" She said, then proceeded to make a fire. Krabby? "It's called a crab" I corrected her. "No, it's called a Krabby" She replied back. I looked at the crab. It wasn't like any other crab you see in the supermarket. This one had giant pinchers that could cut a man's hand off. King crab probably. I tried correcting her again but she kept shooting me back with the same answer, so I gave up. The dinner was very delicious, it was hard eating with just two claws but I found my own method. I hate being hand-fed. We both fell asleep across from each other. Chelsea was always sleeping with a wood spear, for a good reason too I guess. Being attacked by a snake out of nowhere is a good-enough excuse for anyone to carry a weapon with them. I looked at the ocean, it looked very similar to the night I've met that snake. I watched the moonlight glimmer on the ocean surface, listening to the silent patter of the waves. I smiled to myself, looking at the moon. "Something wrong Tim?" Chelsea asked. She wasn't asleep anymore. "Wha?" I looked at her, "Oh, nothing" I lied. "Don't lie to me TIm" She said. Great she reads minds now. "How can...?" I fished out for an answer. Chelsea replied, gazing at me again. "I know things" She crossed her arms. "Cool" I remarked, then looked back at the moon. "I saw you with that Seviper" Chelsea stated, "You two must've really taken a liking in each other, well, until she found out who you were" She finished with a chuckle. I grumbled in response. "What the heck is a Seviper? And yes we did like each other-" I stopped, blushing to myself a bit, then looked at the moonlight as if nothing happened. "You're funny Tim..." She said, "Acting as if you don't know anything, then going out there to the world like a rookie...look at you, already you've lost your leg and arm" That's it. I tried to crawl away. "Where are you going?" She asked, confused. I didn't reply, it's time I'd find out where I was. The cat grabbed me by my leg. "Oh no" She laughed, "You're not going-" I swiped her in the face as I turned to her, a blood trail followed my slash. She screamed in pain and covered her face. I felt this strange urge developing inside me, a urge to kill everything, her for a start. She pinned my arm down, glaring at my face after wiping off the blood. "ENOUGH TIM!" She screamed, then dragged me back in the cave. I felt really bad for reacting like that, I apologized to her, but she already knew I was sorry. "It's alright...it was an accident I know". It was sort of sorry, to be honest, I enjoyed slashing her smug little face. To change the subject, I asked her a question. "Do you have a family? You know any bros and sises? Parents?" Chelsea looked at me as if I was aiming a gun at her face. Then she looked down, the flames shadowed her eyes. "No" She replied. I could tell I offended her. "You okay?" I asked. "T-tim...oh Tim!" She hugged me, crying on my shoulder. I wanted to punch myself for asking her such a question. I hugged back, her furr was really warm. "I-it's okay Chelsea...I'm here..." My family died without me saying those words to them. Each day I pray for them to be okay, to be in peace. I'm pretty sure they're watching over me right now. I sniffed on that thought. I rubbed Chelsea's back. "It's okay..." I said it twice. She calmed down a bit, and looked at my eyes. She was smiling. Smiling, after what I've done to her. "You're the only one who understands me Tim..." She said softly, I wiped her tears for her. "Hey what are friends for-" Whatever God that is up there could not give me a sign, a warning, a hint of what happened next. She set her lips upon mine, her tongue wrapping around me as her arms did. I felt like I was going to melt, I shut my eyes and hugged her back, mimicking her motions. Soon we did what most adult animals do: mate. It felt really good, and we had fun too. She felt so warm, I couldn't leave her side. When we were finished, we slept in each other's embrace. I swear she was radiating heat, I felt so warm wrapping my arm around her. I shut my eyes, hugged her body, smiling to myself that finally, finally that I've found my true love. Not the snake, but the cat. The cat that got my tongue.
