Men of the Northern Mountains is a term that refers to the Men from the northern Mountains of the Giants. These Men were descended from the Men of the Western Plains, particularly the people of Loth. They moved to the Shantak Cradle, and dwelt near the mountains. Here they developed much craft, becoming increasingly friendly with the Dwarfs (who ironically were part of a grouping known as the Dwarfs of the Southern Mountains, being relative to Irritaria). These Men spread once more, founding Anghelm in the north. A great contingent of these Men was sent to Amarkisk under the leadership of Skarlos, and these Men went on to found Neuberg.
