Hurricane Ione of the 2016 East Pacific Hurricane season was a monster Hurricane. Ione eventually caused mass destruction on Oahu Island, Hawaii, becoming the First Hurricane to make landfall in Hawaii since 1992's Hurricane Iniki. Ione also tied Iniki's record as the strongest Hurricane to make landfall in Hawaii, with winds of 145 mph making it a Category 4 Hurricane. Ione also became the first ever Hurricane to make landfall on the island of Oahu.
