abstract
  • In one permutation of the mirror universe in which the Terran Empire survived well into the 24th century, Rudyard Kipling was a Terran short story writer, poet and novelist who lived during the 19th and 20th centuries. In 2367, the Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the primary universe examined Kipling's work using the ISS Enterprise-D's literary database. It was largely similar to that of his primary universe counterpart, leading Picard to comment that Kipling was "idiosyncratic as always." He was one of the few Terran authors whose work was essentially the same in both universes. (TNG novel: Dark Mirror)
