Along with their unusual numbering pattern, the games have several other "abnormal" aspects differing from the previous games. The most defining one is that it doesn't take place in a new region, instead, the player has the chance to travel through all five previous regions of the previous games, granting them a Pokémon experience unlike any before. The second main difference is that the games doesn't introduce a new set of Pokémon, aside from the version-exclusive legendaries. The games incorporate numerous changes, including severely improved graphics in order to make it compatible with the Nintendo 3DS. New moves, abilities, species and so much more are introduced, although the exact number of new features is still vague. Like all paired games beforehand, Heaven and Earth are followed by a third version, Human, which is seen as the most puzzling Pokémon game so far.
